About the role
Job Description
The Merchandizing (MDZ) Supervisor is responsible for translating group category objectives for his category in the areas of assortment structure & management, import, promotion, planogram, and trading terms.
Key Responsibilities
- Identifying and meeting suitable suppliers/manufacturers.
- Managing stock levels.
- Negotiating prices, quantities, and delivery time scales.
- Predicting sales and profits, and producing reports.
- Handling supply/production problems as they arise.
- Communicating closely with store operations.
- Deciding which products should be stocked for each type and size of store.
- Gathering information regarding customers' reactions to products.
- Accessing and analyzing sales performance of different ranges and related information.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from recognized universities
- Should have at least 1 year of experience in the merchandising or purchasing Field
- Computer Literate - MS Word & Excel
- Good communication skills
- Good command of English (spoken & written)
