Business Assurance Executive

About the role

Job Description: - Execute assigned internal audits and assurance reviews based on the approved annual audit plan. - Perform process walkthroughs, control testing and transaction sampling. - Review loan operations, collections, procurement, finance, HR and administrative processes. - Assess compliance with company policies, SOPs, regulatory requirements and management directives. - Identify control weaknesses, operational inefficiencies and potential fraud indicators. - Prepare audit working papers with sufficient evidence and proper documentation - Conduct data analysis to identify unusual trends, exceptions and high-risk transactions. - Track audit findings and follow up on corrective action implementation. - Support fraud investigations, fact finding reviews and special assignments. - Maintain centralized policy and SOP repository and monitor review cycles. - Perform vendor, asset and inventory verification exercises when required. - Monitor adherence to delegated authority limits and approval matrices. - Prepare audit reports, dashboards and management presentations. - Provide advisory recommendations to strengthen governance and internal controls. - Support business continuity, risk assessment and compliance monitoring activities.

Risk Management Responsibilities: - Assist in risk assessments, maintain risk registers and monitor mitigation actions.

Compliance & Governance Responsibilities: - Monitor compliance with regulations, internal policies, and ethical standards.

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. - 2–5 years of experience in Internal Audit, Risk, Compliance, or Internal Control. - CIA, ACCA, CPA, CISA, or equivalent qualification in progress. - Experience in financial services, vehicle leasing, lending, or fintech industries. - Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, communication, and report writing skills. - High level of integrity and confidentiality. - Good stakeholder management skills. - Proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
