The Senior IT Officer leads the design, development, and deployment of intelligent software solutions, with a core emphasis on integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced automation frameworks to drive operational excellence and digital transformation across the group.

Responsibilities

AI-Powered Application Development: - Design, develop, and deploy backend services and applications that utilize LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic) to power new features and products. - Engineer and operationalize custom AI agents and intelligent workflows designed to automate complex, multi-step business processes. Full-Stack Software Engineering: - Build and maintain robust, scalable systems and APIs to support our AI and automation initiatives. - Own the entire development lifecycle, from collaborating on technical specifications and architecture to coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. - Write clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code, adhering to software engineering best practices. Prototyping & Technical Exploration: - Conduct technical R&D and build rapid prototypes with emerging AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex), vector databases, and other new technologies to evaluate their potential for production use. - Translate successful prototypes into production-ready, maintainable software with a focus on performance, security, and scalability. Integration & Operationalization: - Integrate AI solutions with our existing applications, data sources, and third-party services. - Collaborate with DevOps and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment, monitoring, and scalability of new services in a cloud environment.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent hands-on professional experience - 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong background in backend development, preferably using Python, PHP, or TypeScript, and API integrations and database management - Demonstrable, hands-on experience building applications that integrate with LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI/GPT, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude) - Experience with modern AI development frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar - Strong proficiency in designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs - Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, version control (Git), and automated testing - A pragmatic "builder" mindset with a proven ability to ship software from concept to production - Keen to explore new technology, equipment, and tools - Always open to learning new things Nice to have: - Experience with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB) - Experience deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), particularly with serverless technologies (e.g., Lambda, Cloud Functions) or containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions) - Familiarity with MLOps principles for managing the lifecycle of AI models and applications - Front-end development experience (e.g., React, Vue.js) is a plus, but not required - Experience with application servers and DevOps processes and technologies
