About the role

Job Description

To assist the Maintenance Manager in conducting and supervising all maintenance activities across the factory. This includes coordinating preventive maintenance plans, supervising the maintenance team (Senior Supervisor, Boiler Operators, Technicians), tracking utility usage, maintaining records, and stepping in to manage the department in the absence of the Maintenance Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Maintenance Manager in planning and implementing Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs and ensuring schedules are followed.
• Supervise Senior Supervisors, Boiler Operators, Technicians, and Mechanics; assign tasks, monitor completion, and provide on-the-job training.
• Monitor equipment condition, prioritize maintenance needs, and respond to machine breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair production, utility, plumbing, and building systems.
• Monitor utility consumption (electricity, water, diesel, steam), analyze costs, identify abnormalities, and prepare weekly/monthly reports.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, including breakdowns, repairs, downtime, spare parts usage, and maintenance logs.
• Prepare maintenance reports and present maintenance status at management meetings when required.
• Monitor spare parts inventory, prepare purchase requests, and coordinate with the storekeeper for stock control.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with Production, QA, Warehouse teams, suppliers, and service providers.
• Follow up on repair requests, purchase orders, deliveries, and technical support requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE usage, safety inspections, and incident investigations.
• Act on behalf of the Maintenance Manager during absences and perform other duties assigned by Supervisors and Management.

Key Requirements

• Minimum and preferred education: Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical and Mechatronic)
• Total Experience: Minium 6-8 years in FMCG Maintenance field.
• Technical Skills: boiler operation, iwtp & wwtp operation and maintenance, practical skill both Electrical and Mechanical
• Computer Literate with excel, word, power point and presentation skills
• Travel Requirement: Occasionally supplier visits or urgent spare parts pickup
• Physical/Specific Conditions: May require working in hot, noisy, dusty environments; must be able to respond to emergency breakdowns outside normal hours (evenings/weekends); must be physically fit to inspect equipment throughout the factory
