About the role

Job Description

This role is responsible for supporting and coordinating the implementation of solar PV projects, including site installation, project coordination, vendor and contractor supervision, system commissioning, technical troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and project documentation. The role ensures that solar system projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with technical specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and participate in the on-site installation of solar PV systems, including panel mounting, inverter connections, electrical wiring, and structural works.
• Monitor vendor and contractor performance to ensure quality and timely execution of work.
• Assist in system commissioning, performance testing, and handover documentation.
• Collaborate with the design team to verify technical plans, BOQ, and site readiness.
• Participate in technical evaluations and procurement of project materials and equipment.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities post-installation.
• Collect and record site performance data to support energy output analysis.
• Prepare site progress reports, material usage summaries, and project documentation.
• Ensure site safety compliance and enforce the use of proper PPE by all personnel.
• Communicate with internal teams and vendors to resolve technical issues on time.
• Support the training of junior staff or apprentice engineers on field processes and procedures.
• Participate in quality checks and ensure all systems comply with company and industry standards.
• Carry out other assigned engineering duties to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in solar PV systems or Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), with a focus on project execution
• Proficient in interpreting electrical single-line diagrams, layout drawings, and vendor manuals
• Proficiency in technical documentation, progress reporting, and use of tools such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, and MS Excel
• Strong coordination and communication skills to liaise with procurement, design, and site teams
