About the role

Longteng Construction Company, the in-house construction brand of the Emerald Bay luxury residential development in Yangon, is hiring a Lead Surveyor Engineer. Education: College or higher.

Responsibilities

  • Project-Wide Survey Coordination — Take full responsibility for the entire range of surveying work, including resurveying the site’s original topography, building layout and staking, excavation staking, floor control lines, elevation transfer, roof/door and window control lines, and settlement monitoring.
  • Instrument Operation and Control — Proficient in operating total stations, levels, and plumb bobs; responsible for the regular calibration, maintenance, and safekeeping of instruments; maintain an instrument usage log to strictly prevent rework caused by measurement errors.
  • Technical Briefings and On-Site Supervision — Conduct a technical briefing on surveying procedures for the construction crew and surveyors; strictly verify the formwork, as well as the axis lines, elevations, and plumbness of walls and columns; if any dimensional deviations are found, immediately notify the engineer to make corrections.
  • Data and Records — Responsible for preparing specialized survey plans, stakeout records, verification records, and settlement monitoring logs; photographing and organizing survey imagery, and submitting it to the project department in a timely manner; coordinating with the local supervisory team in Myanmar to complete survey inspection and approval procedures.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration — Actively cooperate with the inspection and acceptance of core processes such as rebar, formwork, and concrete; assist with the precise positioning of material storage yards, tower crane foundations, and temporary roads.
  • On-Site Problem Resolution — Promptly address surveying-related technical issues, such as conflicts in drawing dimensions, elevation differences on-site, and axis deviations; propose reasonable solutions and corrections; and report them to the technical supervisor.

Requirements

  • Expertise and Experience — A degree in civil engineering or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience as the lead surveyor on end-to-end residential construction projects; must be able to independently complete the full range of surveying work from site staking out to project completion; candidates with experience in high-rise residential projects or overseas construction sites in Myanmar will be given preference.
  • Instrument Capabilities — Proficient in using total stations (Topcon, Leica, Kolida, etc.) and automatic/electronic levels; skilled in coordinate calculations, extracting coordinates from CAD files, and organizing field data; capable of independently setting up control networks.
  • Ability to Interpret Diagrams — Proficient in reading architectural and structural construction drawings as well as site layout plans; thoroughly familiar with standards for the placement of axis lines, elevations, construction joints, and settlement monitoring points.
  • On-site Requirements — Must be able to work long-term at the project site and adapt to outdoor work during Yangon’s hot and rainy season; must be willing to work overtime and night shifts during concrete pouring or when rushing to meet deadlines at night.
