Senior Import Executive (Procurement)

About the role

Job Description: Key Responsibilities - Manage and monitor import shipments from origin through final delivery, ensuring timely execution and smooth coordination. - Working closely with overseas suppliers and logistics service providers to reduce lead times, minimize delays, and improve shipment efficiency. - Explore and coordinate alternative shipping routes to improve transit times, operational efficiency, and logistics performance. - Getting necessary and updated information related to import license, custom rules and regulations as business needs. - Collaborate with suppliers, logistics partners and internal teams to align import shipments with procurement plans, inventory needs, and operational priorities. - Maintain accurate shipment records, import documents, transaction files, and periodic reports for operational monitoring, cost control, and audits. - Identify opportunities to simplify import procedures and improve logistics coordination, shipment visibility, service quality, and cost efficiency.

Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field; a professional diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management is an advantage. - At least 3 years of hands-on experience in import operations, with knowledge of international shipping and import coordination. - Strong negotiation, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills, especially when working with logistics providers and business partners. - Ability to monitor shipment performance, resolve operational issues, manage competing priorities, and support contingency plans. - Proficiency in written and spoken English for effective communication with international partners. - Good command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for shipment tracking, analysis, documentation, and reporting. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail and a proactive mindset. - Ability to coordinate multiple shipments, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively across functions.
