This role is to manage and grow the SME supplier portfolio through structural diagnostics, pipeline management, continuous supplier engagement, event execution, and commercial linkage to modern trade channels.

Responsibilities

• Engagement: Build strong relationships with SME suppliers; routinely interview and communicate with partners to understand evolving needs and deliver targeted service support.
• Pipeline Follow-Up: Continuously track and follow up with suppliers in the pipeline to prevent bottlenecks and ensure smooth onboarding transitions.
• Achieve Portfolio Targets: Maintain consistent pipeline movement to ensure continuous monthly onboarding improvements.
• Partner Coordination: Coordinate and engage with non-trade SME networks and events, such as Myan Wen, UMFCCI, and NPT MSME.
• Fast-Track Commercial Linkages: Connect qualified SMEs directly with CMHL Category Buyers to accelerate compliance checks for the required processes.
• Prepare Progress Reports: Prepare regular daily, weekly, and monthly reports; analyze pipeline conversion rates and database metrics.
• Travel Frequently for Field Audits: Travel regularly across Yangon, Mandalay, Naypyitaw, and other regional hubs to conduct on-site reviews and local MSME networking events.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree holder or university student
• 1–2 years of experience in Retail Operations, Supplier Management, SME Development sectors, or a merchandising environment
• Strong knowledge of modern trade (MT) distribution, packaging compliance standards, and local supply chain logistics
• Good analytical skills with intermediate-to-advanced Excel (data tracking, reporting) and PowerPoint for business reviews
• Good relationship management, negotiation, interviewing, and communication skills
• Fluent in English (written and verbal communication)
• Computer literate (proficient in core workplace applications)
